Car started over heating so I took it to the local goodyear to have it fixed.

Estimated Cost – $2300 b/c engine had to be replaced.

I took the car to a ford dealership for a second opinion.

Fixed for $650.

Glad I took the car to another shop instead of letting goodyear fix it. The car was still driveable so not sure what the thought process was when they recommended that…

Getting ready to head over to my parents and out to my girlfriends aunts house. Add in all the school work I still have to do today and it is going to be a long day.

1. Enjoying my second day off. Weather couldn’t have been better if I wanted it to be.

2. Trying to take apart the server rack today. Why can’t anything be easy.

3. Spent the majority of time watching a Merlin marathon on SyFy. New season starts tomorrow.

4. According to the Library I no longer exist. Just used my card to pay a fine a couple weeks ago, but as of today I was no longer in the system. Had to register again.

5. Got back into the gym yesterday and am going again tomorrow. Hopefully this is the start of lifting regularly again.

1. Just finished with my last assignment for the two classes I have ending today. Feels good to be done with each.

2. I think I scraped by with an A in my Comp class and a B in my communications class.

3. The relief will be short lived as technically my next class, Bussiness Law, has already started. Picking up the book tomorrow.

4. After work tomorrow it will be the start of a 5 day weekend for me. I took Wed, Thur, and Friday off this week. Unfortunately, most of the days will be spent trying to clean this place up a bit.

1. Just had my daughters first birthday, my girlfriends birthday, and dads birthday to deal with in the past two weeks.

2. Had a group presentation today. Considering we did almost nothing to prepare for it, I would say it went well. I though we were going to crash and burn but didn’t.

3. I recently found stumpleupon.com and am for the most part addicted. You can find some of the oddest stuff people put online using this.

1. I have started back to school and that has been consuming much of my time lately. I have already fallen slightly behind but should be fully caught up with things tomorrow. This always seems to happen. No matter how much I say I won’t, I always wait until the last possible second to start assignments. This always ends badly as they end up taking longer than I anticipate and I have to turn something in late.

I also always say I am going to do the assigned reading but never do. This is the main reason assignments end up taking longer than I think they will.

2. Zoie’s 1st birthday is tomorrow. We have a little party planned for her this coming Saturday. Should be fun.

3. Spent the last two weeks watching as much of the Olympics as I could. For some reason I have been addicted to the past two Olympic games. I find myself watching any sport that is on, whether I actually like it or not. Short track speed skating is definitely my favorite event.

4. Still trying to get back in the gym but have yet to manage it. Will update when that happens.

1. The Boss is out this week so work has been relatively slow going. I can’t complain about that though.

2. Still have two weeks until my next two classes start so I have been enjoying the extra free time around the house.

3. I just finished watching an episode of Hoarders I had DVR’d and felt the need following that to do some cleaning. Cleaned up the kitchen and actually did some dishes by hand. Yes, I am impressed with myself.

4. I always feel the need to pick things up after watching that show. I am not a hoarder or anything but things are often out of place around here causing the apartment to look very cluttered.

5. Zoie had another appointment at the doctors today and still has an ear infection in her right ear. Medication was changed from amoxicillin to augmentin to try and knock it out.

6. Just made a payment on my Sears mastercard and my discover card. The sears card balance was relatively high due to buying my girlfriends laptop a few weeks back. The payment on that meant less to go towards paying off my Discover card. I can’t wait to be free of the debt held on these cards. Hopefully just another two months and it will be gone for good.

7. Finally remembered to take my busted EEE PC into work to have the IT guy for our department take a look at it. He has been telling me to for awhile now but I keep forgetting. It’s not that big of a deal now that I have my new Toshiba but it would still be nice if it worked again.

1. I was pretty lazy today. For most of the day I just sat in front of the computer and the TV. I really don’t mind days like that so it wasn’t to bad.

2. My girlfriend conned me into going shopping this afternoon. We were supposed to be going down to her dads but at the last second she decided she didn’t want to and we ended up going to Kohl’s. We got a few outfits for Zoie but not much else.

3. I started using google reader today to hopefully better follow some of the blogs and other various sites I read on a regular basis. I tried using another feed reader in the past but didn’t stick with it. So far I like it.

4. I read a very interesting story today on Esther Reed. She stole several identities, including Beth Henson. After several years living as Beth she was finally caught. She was just sentenced to almost 5 years in jail but her life up until this point makes for a very interesting read.

1. Got a new netbook, the Toshiba NB205, for Christmas. I needed a new one after my EEE PC died on me. This one is much better. The larger keyboard is a plus. It came with the crippled Windows 7 starter. Luckily I could use my student student status to update it fairly cheaply to Windows 7 Home Premium.

2. I bought my girlfriend a new laptop as well. A Toshiba Satellite. She seems to like it, spends much more time on the computer now than she did before though.

3. Got the new Mario Bros. Wii game. We have beat it already and are now working to collect all the coins in order to beat the unlocked World nine.

4. I screwed up my financial aid so I had to start this semester a few weeks late. I am registered to take an intro to spreadsheets course. I don’t really need it but it is required before taking accounting 1 and 2 and business finance. I am also registered to take a communications class as well as business law.

5. Zoie has started walking recently. She is out of control now. She is even climbing the steps. She is still at a point where she feels the need to put everything in her mouth. She definitely keeps things interesting around here.

6. I am working to try and budget better in order to get rid of all our debt much sooner. Between me and my girlfriend we have a bout $2000 in credit card debt. Now that I am taking on more debt b/c of school I need to get this paid off as soon as possible. My girlfriend still owes about $5ooo on her student loans. I have registered at yodlee.com to hopefully help track are spending better in order to reduce it. We’ll see how it works.
